Wyoming Vacations and Cabin Getaways for Individuals, Families, and Groups

Welcome to Hunter Peak Ranch, a peaceful escape from the challenges of busy modern life.

A family-operation for over seventy years, the Cary's pride themselves in a well-kept and clean facility, amazing food, a relaxing atmosphere, and clients who return year after year, inviting their friends and family to join.

Located in the heart of the Shoshone National Forest, the oldest designated national forest in the US, we are a gateway to Yellowstone National Park and the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness areas with relatively easy access to Cody, Wyoming and Red Lodge, Montana. Whether your holiday objectives are to capture the spirit of the land and inhabitants through photography, pursue greater understanding of history and culture, get in touch with nature through hiking, fishing, and exploring or to disconnect and relax; we are here for you.

Road Scholar Programs offered at Hunter Peak Ranch

Hunter Peak Ranch hosts summer and fall Road Scholar Programs (formerly Elderhostel). The Hiking Programs explore the Beartooth and Absaroka mountain trails with experienced local guides.

Because of COVID-19, the Intergen Program is cut from the 2021 rooster. This program brings grandparents and grandchildren together for a variety of outdoor activities in Yellowstone Park and the area. We hope this program returns in 2022.
