Our family celebrated a second family reunion at Hunter Peak Ranch during
the summer of 2006. The first was 20 years ago, in 1986. Both were huge
successes. We hold family reunions every three years in various locations,
for 4 or 5 generations, and the attendance grows each time. This 2006
reunion was the largest yet.
There are many reasons we enjoy Hunter Peak Ranch. First, there are plenty
of activities for everyone. Both young and old enjoy the location by the
Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River. Whether it is fishing, hiking,
horseback riding, visiting, skipping rocks, riding the cable car back & forth
across the river - everyone finds lots to do.
Location is another reason. Close proximity to Yellowstone National Park is
a great advantage. Every family goes to Yellowstone, either coming, going,
or a day trip during the reunion. Some go multiple times, while others enjoy
trips to Cody & Red Lodge as well.
Shelley Carey and her wonderful staff are another reason Hunter Peak Ranch
is a terrific choice for our family. Shelley goes out of her way to ensure an
enjoyable visit with sincere hospitality. Her meals are excellent. The cabins
vary in size, some with kitchens, are all comfortable and allow privacy.
Ours is a very diverse family and it is a challenge to find a location that
everyone finds practical - Hunter Peak Ranch satisfies all. Our relatives
come from California, Washington, Hawaii, South Dakota, Arizona, Alaska,
Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, and some are Wyoming natives - all
love Hunter Peak Ranch.
